About
We were selected as one of only seventeen teams to compete in the 2022 Marine Energy Collegiate Competition (MECC), coordinated by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in the Department of Energy (DOE). The competition is designed to challenge interdisciplinary teams of students to offer unique solutions that will play a vital role in the marine energy industry by advancing a concept aligned with the DOE’s Powering the Blue Economy report. According to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development report, ocean-related industries contribute more than $1.5 trillion to the economy each year, and that value is expected to double by 2030.
Our team is developing marine-based, technologically innovative solutions that benefit society and lead to enhanced resilience and sustainability. We plan to unveil our discoveries and inventions during the final stage of the competition at Water Power Week.
Be part of our success, join us and transform our experience from competing to winning.
